Welcome to the roots where it all started. This was the brutal awakening that made me realize the importance of good UI/UX and how hard it can truly be to implement.

The mission:

Project Highlights:

  • Philosophy-Driven Design: I immersed myself in Vergara’s teachings to ensure the platform was conceptually aligned with her views. The focus was on creating a tool for accountability, transparency, and citizen empowerment without imposing personal biases.

  • Collaborative Development: Due to the niche nature of this project, collaboration became essential. I gathered insights from peers in UI/UX design who had a strong grasp of Vergara’s ideas, transforming abstract concepts into user-friendly features.

  • Data Gathering Challenges: With limited access to real user groups, I conducted qualitative testing with design colleagues familiar with systemic corruption frameworks. This iterative feedback loop helped refine the platform's workflows and structure.

Key Features of the Website:

  • Accessible Government Information: Users can easily track government meetings, proposed laws, and actions with a clean, ADA-compliant interface.

  • Transparency-Centered Design: A clear, filterable dashboard makes complex legislative processes understandable for users of all backgrounds.

  • Customizable Navigation: Designed to adapt to different governmental structures, ensuring scalability and relevance across regions.

The process reinforced the importance of research, collaboration, and creating tools that empower users to hold power to account.

This experience highlights my ability to tackle complex, theory-driven projects, bridging the gap between academic ideas and practical, accessible digital solutions.
